Itinerary

A 3-BOOT coastal walk is proposed for 11 May 2014 in Lamma Island.

We will meet at 9:15 am at Aberdeen Seafront Kai To Ferry Terminal and then take the 9:30 am ferry operated by Chuen Kee Ferry Ltd. [全記渡有限公司] to Mo Tat Wan of Lamma Island.

From Mo Tat Wan Pier we will walk across to Shek Pai Wan and start the coastal trekking to Yuen Kok.  Afterwards, we will return to Sham Wan and Sok Kwu Wan and take the ferry back to Aberdeen.

The walk will finish at around 5:00 pm.  Some may wish to stay behind to have dinner at Sok Kwu Wan.  For your ease of reference, the following link shows the timetable of ferry departing from Sok Kwu Wan back to Aberdeen on Sunday.

If it is raining or threatening to rain (thunderstorm warning), the walk may still go ahead but we will hike on conventional hiking trails. Please look for announcement on this website or on Facebook the evening before. If in doubt on the morning of the walk, please call 8209-0517.

Please remember to bring all the usual gear, in particular lots of water (at least two litres), thick gloves, good boots with non-slippery sole suitable for trekking in sea water, wind break, sun block, a torch with new batteries and a hat. Also, please bring your lunch.
