We will do a 6-7 km walk this coming Sunday, 26 April 2015.  Despite the distance, it is very manageable, mainly on paved trails and with various early exit points.  Basically, we will walk from Devil's Peak to the foot of Fei Ngo Shan (Kowloon Peak) at Sha Tin Pass Road. We will hike through some good fung shui areas, hoping to bring everyone good luck!

We will meet at Yau Tong MTR station [油塘港鐵站] at the concourse level close to Exit A1 at 10:30 am. From there we will start from Section 3 of the Wilson trail.

This walk is about 7 kilometres and has a couple of decent hills on the way. We will hike to Devils peak, have a look at the old battery [魔鬼山砲台] which were supposed to defend Hong Kong during 1941 (2nd World War) and then follow the trail over to Black Hill [五桂山](304m). Then we shall make our way down to Clearwater Bay Road. Further on we shall continue on to Section 4 via the foot of Fei Ngo Shan [飛鵝山] and finish the walk at junction of Fei Ngo Shan Road and Pak Fa Lam Road.

Remember to bring all the usual gear, in particular sufficient water, hiking shoes with good traction, sun block, a hat, a pair of glove, head-lamps and a warm jacket / wind breaker.  The walk will be cancelled if it is raining or threatening to rain (thunderstorm warning).  If in doubt on the morning of the walk, call the hot line 8209-0517.  Please don't be late.

Hi Trampers:

Wanted to see if anyone had done any hiking West of Hoi Ha. I know it's a bit remote and while the maps show some dotted trails I'm just curious as to how passable they might be. Appreciate any insights.
Thanks
Steve Kohl
