Let's do a short and relatively easy hike this coming Sunday (25 June 2017)  in view of the persistently high temperature.  We will meet at 10:00am, inside Tsuen Wan West Station - Exit E2 (NOT the Tsuen Wan Station). We then walk 10 minutes to Nina Tower via footbridges to take bus 51 to Route Twist to begin our walk.  We will head for Hoi Pui Reservoir via the Gap Lung Ancient Trail.  This trail is also a mountain biking path and it is well shaded and mostly flat and going down hill. Mind you, it can be slippery if the soil is wet.  From there we will walk to entrance of the Route 3 and trek through village house concrete footpath to Kam Sheung Road Station to look at the flee market and end the walk there.

For those who want to do a bit more exercise, there is an option. Instead of heading for Kam Sheung Road, we may continue to Kat Hing Bridge of Tai Lam Chung Reservoir. Depending on the weather, the condition of fellow trampers, we may either head to Tai Tong and end our walk at Yuen Long or head to Yuen Tuen Country Trail and end the walk somewhere in Tsing Lung Tau.

Please remember to bring all the usual gear - lunch, sufficient water/drinks, snacks, a sun hat, sun block, a torch, mosquito spray, gloves, and rain gear if needed.  Appropriate hiking shirts, trousers and boots/shoes are a must.

If it is raining or threatening to rain (thunderstorm warning), the walk may still go on but we will hike on another part of the area. If in doubt on the morning of the walk, call 8209-0517.  Remember don't be late!  The 10 minutes rule is in force.
